Attractive retail opportunity for Ishii Katsuhito aficionados

If, like me, you’ve ever wished you were Asano Tadanobu or Kase Ryo (or Kikuchi Rinko if you like exposing yourself at discos, and let’s face it who doesn’t?), the savvy profiteers at Ishii Katsuhito’s Nice Rainbow are ready to help you indulge your delusions at their new online store for international customers. Fans of “The Taste of Tea” and “Funky Forest” are especially well catered to, and there’s even an original Ishii-designed T-shirt as worn by “Hal & Bons”. Check it out here.

I love Funky Forest and ordered the TODOROKI phone strap for my wife, and a t-shirt for myself.

Oh, this is nice information. I love The Taste of Tea and Party7. Bad thing is, most of the T’s are just small or medium size, so as the Guitar Brother shirt that I wanted.

Seriously– what’s up with the dearth of Large and X-Large shirts? It doesn’t seem to be very export minded. Too bad… :-(

it’s because there was a selection of shirts in those sizes, and they sold out looooong ago, to unusually large japanese customers. us gaijin folk are left with the dregs, literally.

hehe, i like how HOME ROOM!!!!!!!!! goes off the page of stickers. i can’t imagine this stuff will fly off the shelves though if DVD sales are any indication. unless 200,000 people downloaded torrents and there’s some secret underground fanbase that hasn’t surfaced yet. this is coming from a US perspective though. i’m not sure how popular Ishii films are in other countries.
